RETURN AND REFUND
POLICY AT SHERRIE BETTY'S

In line with our commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, Sherrie Betty’s offers a 10-day return policy. Any items returned within this 10-day period, eligible for a refund, will undergo inspection to ensure they are NEW, UNUSED, UNDAMAGED, or DEFECTIVE. We will process eligible returns within 10 days of receiving the items. It’s important to note that Sherrie Betty’s reserves the right to decline items that do not meet the eligibility criteria for return, and no credit will be issued for rejected items. Upon completion of the refund process, you will receive notification via email or postal mail regarding the acceptance or denial of your items.

Returned items are subject to a 30% restocking fee, which will be deducted from the refund amount.

Refunds will be processed either via a paper check (if the original payment was made with an institutional check) or credited back to the credit card used for the initial purchase. Returns received after the 15-day period will not be accepted and will not be issued a merchandise credit.

Please note that perishable items such as food are not eligible for refunds.
Inmates may receive a maximum of two packages per month containing food items as outlined in Attachment A of Directive #4911. The combined weight of these packages should not exceed 40 pounds. This limit applies to food packages received from both visitors and through the mail.

Inmate items that are not accepted by the facility for the following reasons will not be eligible for a refund or exchange

  1. Loss of package room privileges by the inmate.
  2. Placement of the inmate in keep lock.
  3. The inmate exceeded the allowable package limit (40 pounds per month).
  4. Transfer of the inmate to another facility.
  5. The inmate refused a package.

Additionally, package privileges may be restricted based on the following criteria:

  1. Privileges of inmates in Special Housing SHU units, as restricted and limited by Directive #4933.
  2. Inmates in reception/classification facilities will not be allowed to receive packages for 30 days from the reception date.
  3. Inmates will not be allowed to receive packages while in transit.
  4. Inmates in Shock Incarceration, Drug treatment, CASAT, or work release programs will not be allowed to receive packages.

While all of our perishable food items are hermetically sealed in accordance with Directive #4911, some facilities may have varying acceptance standards for certain packaged food items, particularly meats. It is the responsibility of the customer to contact the facility to determine acceptable items, if there is uncertainty about whether an item will be accepted. If you are unsure about how an item is packaged or sealed, please contact us before placing your order, and we will provide clarification. We do not offer refunds for perishable food items (Hermetically Sealed Meats).

Please refer to Directive #4911 or contact the facility before placing your order to ensure that your order meets specific weight, packaging, and shipping requirements.

All returned non-food merchandise must be shipped directly from the correctional facility and must include the original purchase receipt with the returned items listed, as well as form #1755 “Non-Food Package Record.” All items must be in the same condition as when they were received, meaning they must be NEW, UNUSED, UNDAMAGED, or DEFECTIVE and in their original packaging. Please note that we do not accept merchandise returns from family members or third parties. Orders returned to Sherrie Betty’s due to acceptance limitations or weight errors are not eligible for cash refunds. We strongly
advise contacting the facility before placing your order if you are unsure about package receiving limitations and accurately calculating the weight of items.

Certain items, such as special orders or sale items, are NOT eligible for return or refund. Prior to making a special order request or purchasing items that have been marked down for sale, please check with the facility.

Items ordered through our mail-in catalogue may take longer to process depending on mail delivery times. To exchange an item ordered through our mail-in order form, please include the item, the original purchase receipt, and a detailed note explaining the reason for exchange or return, along with the new item you would like to have delivered.

Please note that return shipping charges are non-refundable, and the responsibility for returns and exchange shipping costs lies with the sender. We are not responsible for return shipping costs. If a refund is approved, the cost of shipping will be deducted from the refunded amount. We recommend using tracking for all returns to ensure they are delivered correctly.
